October 8-9 Concerts

A Concert of Sacred Choral Music
Order a recording for $15! Celebrating 100+ years of faith and blessing in central and southwest Iowa, this concert will took place in two venues in the diocese, the Cathedral and Ss. Peter and Paul in Atlantic. The concerts featured a newly commissioned work by David Dickau with an ancient midieval text, as well as the Fauré Requiem. The Drake University Chamber Choir and the Des Moines Vocal Arts Ensemble, two choral ensembles who are well-respected throughout the Midwest, presented the concert. The October 8 concert in Des Moines was recorded. This featured the world premiere of "Effortlessly" and the Fauré chamber orchestra.
